Empties and other stuff I’m trashing.

It’s a lot. So, we’ll just jump on in.

Let’s start with the empties. You know me, I’ve gotta organize it all! Lol, even my trash.

By the looks of my trash, I’ve spent a lot of time in the bath. And that’s an accurate assumption. Hot water makes my legs feel better and in my stressful work/ health world, all I want to do when I get home from is soak out the day and read my book. I went thru 2 and I’m almost finished with another, Caress Sheer Twilight Body Wash. I have been singing the praises of this stuff for years. I hate the discontinued the others, I quite enjoyed them as well. Also from the bath tub, I finished two Aveeno body washes, I used all of the Calming Body Wash and the Stress Relief one. If my Walgreens is out of the Caress, which they usually are…these are the two I pick up instead.

In the realm of hair, I used another Generic Value Deep Conditioning Keratin Mask, I will absolutely repurchase this one. I love this stuff. It conditions my hair without weighing it down and it smells fantabulous. This is another OG item for me.

I also used up a RUSK PRO Hydrate and Repair sample from Ulta. It smells really good. I don’t know that I’d purchase it just because it smelled nice, but ehhh. It was okay.

Makeup related things I’ve used up were mainly samples. I used an Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair, I used to wear this everyday. I’m not sure why I stopped with it. I think the Aveeno stuff took it’s place. I also tried the SuperGoop Powder On SPF 45 and I loved it! Well, until I saw what kind of packaging it comes in. I don’t know about the product being in the barrel of the brush. It would have been awesome just to have it as a pressed powder similar to the sample. I used a Clinique Beyond Perfecting Super Concealer in the shade Very Fair 04. This is in my basket at Ulta. I want to use up my Maybelline one first. I also finished yet another Catrice Prime and Fine Setting Spray. I have 3 more waiting in line. I love this stuff. You wouldn’t know it by looking at my makeup brushes, but I finished a Beauty blender Solid too. Oh, I finished a Lorac Behind the Scenes Eye Primer, I’m not going to repurchase that one, concealer works as well if not better.

Glam Glow Super Mud Clearing Treatment, yea. This thing is actually sour. It smells like sour milk. I’m chunking it. The Galexie Glister all dried up and is super thick and goopy and the J Cat Holo 3D in Pinch me Peachy is plain ol old. I wanted to love it, but I just didn’t. I had Still topper expectations and it fell short. I’m trashing it as well.

The next bunch of stuff is just stuff I wasn’t crazy about for what ever reason and need to pass along. Some of it is brand new and some I tried to make myself like and couldn’t.

I’m just going to list them because other wise we’ll be here all day. If you want more information on any of these products, you can find the YouTube version here.

Makeup: The Color Workshop Sunset Eyeshadow Collection, LA colors tin thingie, Majesty Highlight Palette, Melissa Michelle Bling on the Glam Eyeshadow Palette and a Covergirl Clean Pressed Powder in Classic Ivory.

Not pictured are 2 leaky Scentbirds, a nest cocoa Woods and a Juliet has a Gun, MMMM. The other two just got leaked on and I don’t want to handle them. They are Jorel Parker, Femina and Harvey Prince Signature.

The totally randoms are: A feminine wash called the Sweet Spot. I think this was in a summer sample bag from Ulta, I never opened it, thought it was sort of gimmicky. Charcoal Tooth Whitening Powder, Wander Beauty Lift off mask, Garnier Sufer Putty, and Not Your Mother’s Blonde Moment Treatment Purple Shampoo.

Have you guys tried any of these products? What did you think? Are you a fan of empties/mini declutters?

  1. All the power to you for getting rid of the empties and unused – they just get in the way of the good stuff! But truly, baths for super sore post-workday legs aside, how do you use so many products? It takes me YEARS to go through anything, and that’s with use. Am I not using enough, being too stingy with my shampoo or whatever? Because I always see these fun new things I’d like to try, but then remember the stuff I’ve got lingering at home…

    1. Yes, it takes me a minute too. Setting sprays I go thru quickly because I use them every single day. I have a basket that I throw my empties in until I have enough to write about or make a video on. It’s definitely not a monthly thing. I’ve been trying to curate my makeup collection for what seems like forever, and refuse to buy certain things until I’ve used up the current one. Like the concealer. The other stuff in this post was just stuff I needed to get rid of, things I never wear or didn’t like. No sense in keeping all of that in my collection when I’m not crazy about it and trying to curate it to my own taste. I’m sure you’re using your products correctly! It’s taken me two years to get thru a full size concealer!
