📣Spoiler Alert! 📣
This posts hold the contents of my June Allure Box and it is pretty fantastic!
Hi. Aloha. Ola. Bonjour. Hey.
I received a pretty stinking good Allure box/bag/thing this month.
Here’s what’s in it.
Eau Thermal Avene Spray Spring Water. I set my makeup with it this morning, just out of curiosity and gaaaah I’m digging it. I don’t think it will make it last longer or anything typical of a setting spray, after all… it is just water. But, it feels cool, the mist is fine and it will take away the look of powder. I think it would be a nice refresher after makeup removal and before bed for an added little layer of moisture. This little bean retails for 18.50$ If only it wasn’t aerosol.
Sticking with skin stuff, I also received the Context Vitamin C All Day Eye Cream. It’s not a cream, it’s a gel. It is cooling, but if does make my makeup crease like crazy. I didn’t notice any brightening and that’s a claim, however, it might be better at night without makeup on top of it. I also have naturally dry, creasey undereyes. This little baby retails for 35.00$ Whew. That’s a lot.
The Moroccan Oil Treatment couldn’t have come at a better time. My hair is really showing out. I’ve been in the lightening process for a few months and it’s definitely taking it’s toll on my locks. Well, that along with pool life and purple shampoo. Anyway, when I washed my hair this morning, I towel dried it and added about a dime sized amount of this oil. I really concentrated my efforts on the ends because my scalp is a greasy mess anyway. My hair just drank it up. I styled it, by styled I mean I used a butterfly clip and pulled it out of my eyes. You know? Now that I think about it, is a wet ponytail is considered styling? Anyway, I added a little more after I pulled it back and my hair doesn’t feel greasy at all. It feels healthy and definitely less dry. I would definitely purchase the biggie size in this one. Retails for 44.00$
Browgal Eyebrow, The Pencil. I reluctantly tried this. You guys know I usually don’t stray from my NYX brow pencil in Espresso. I tried it though, and it’s okay. I’d use it again. I originally thought it felt cheap. Like cheap plastic. Then I realized it has a pencil sharpener on the end of the spoolie cap. Sooo, it’s a wooden pencil, good for the brows, not for my eyes. That’s another story. Anyway, the shade is Medium Brown 04. The formula is nice, it’s not so creamy that you can’t get defined strokes but it’s not so stiff that it tugs. It’s a great place in the middle. I like it. Retails for 23.00$ I don’t know if I would repurchase or not, I can get two of my tried and true for the price of this one. We’ll see.
floss. My New Favorite Lip Gloss. Wellll, it IS pretty good. It’s not too thick, not too thin…kinda like my patience right about now. It smells a little like vanilla frosting or something I would like to eat, but doesn’t taste like anything much on my lips. It’s not sticky at all, feels nourishing and could be a blessing on top of liquid lipstick. I’m digging it. My lips look nice. Healthy. Retails for 16.00$
I think this is a bonus product! It’s the SGX NYC Do it all 3 in 1 Dry Texture Spray. I like the idea and it smells nice. However, my scalp is having a moment right now and I don’t want to poke the bear. I’m going to pass on this one for a little bit. Again, aerosols.
Retail value: $120.50
Have you guys tried any of these products yet? What did you think? Do you get Allure?
