Stuff I’m loving.

Happy Monday! It’s finally sunshiney in SC and boy am I loving it. Doodle and I are bumping butts to share the sunshiney patches in the house. (Doodle is the poodle child.) It’s still a little chilly, but man I am so grateful for the sunshine.

I think we’ll go in the order I put this stuff on my face. And yes, it’s all on my face.

I used my normal moisturizers and other potions (I have another post coming soon on all that magic!) prior to using the ELF Poreless Putty Primer.

Before.

The burning question is if the Poreless Putty is a dupe for Tatcha Silk Canvas Primer, and I really don’t know. I’ve never tried the Tatcha. BUT, the ELF one is bomb. For foundation, I’m wearing the Covergirl Clean Matte BB Cream. I have loved this stuff for years. It has good coverage, doesn’t get gross and if I keep my hands away from my face, it out lasts my work day.  I powder the perimeter of my face with the Milani Prep, Set and Glow. Did you know you could wear this powder under foundation?? I don’t know why I didn’t think of that? It plainly says prep. I read the directions on the back of the compact. Dang, I’ll have to try that in the morning and see what happens. For blush, I’ve really been loving Covergirl Instant Cheekbones in Refined Rose. I enjoy it with a fairly dense brush, I think the brush I use is actually a foundation brush. I dip into both of the blush shades and sort of dot it where I want it. It does all of the work for you. I really dig the highlight shade that comes in the compact as well. Yes, look at that glow. It’s just that too, a glow. It’s not see me from space, but more like glowing from within my happy little palpitating heart.

I usually do my brows at this point. I’m still using and loving the NYX Micro Brow Pencil in Black. I have purchased so many of these little guys. Tried and True. Another tried and true, the NYX Tinted Brow Mascara in Black. I love this stuff too. It brings all of my little fine baby brow hairs out to play and keeps them in place all day. To clean up all of the craziness I get into drawing in my eyebrows, I use Tarte Shape Tape in Light Sand. Yes, I know. Your’s truly wrote a scathing review of Shape Tape only months ago. However, my opinion hasn’t changed. I still don’t like it as an under eye concealer. At all. It’s heavy and dry and makes me look at least 200 years old. I love it as a brow cleaner upper.

The last few weeks, I have found myself reaching for mauve and pinks for my eyeshadow. I pulled this little guy out of my collection a few weeks ago and have worn it every day that I’ve worn makeup. It’s the Rose Gold – Nude 10 pan palette. I also have enjoyed these little guys. The Perfect Pair Birthday Set from Ulta. Petite and Beauty Junkie. Today I ran a little of the Mauve from the ELF palette into my crease and highlighted with the lightest shade in the same palette. I used my finger to apply Beauty Junkie to my entire lid. Definitely loving these two. Top mascara is Super Hero by It Cosmetics and bottom lashes are Ciate Wonderland. Both are my most reached for mascaras. Today, I decided on one of my favorite pink lipstick, normally I would rock something a little more nude. I’m wearing Colour Pop Contempo. LOVE IT. To finish my look, I used Catrice Prime and Fine.

After.

I’ve also been loving pink nail polish. Life Water. Glasses USA. Little. My Momma and Daddy. Sunshine. TV fireplaces. Fuzzy blankets. The kindness of strangers. The kindness of family. Potatoe and hamburger casserole. Oranges. Little’s best Jerry Reed singin’ voice. Electric fuzzy blankets. Comfort. 7 up. Laughter. Wendy’s dates and the prospect of better health.

What have you guys been loving lately?

xoxo,

Sunshine
