By Mini. I mean MINI.
I finally broke down and purchased Olaplex No. 3.
During the summer I live at the pool. I try to keep my hair bunned up in a hat, but sometimes the urge to cannon ball get’s the best of me and that’s where this story becomes relevant. The chlorine and sun kill my hair.
Fishing braids and the boat are rough on it too.
Fast forward to July. My hair was a hot mess. I’d been lightening it and messing with it, and hadn’t had it trimmed since February. It was dry and brittle and falling out like no body’s business. So, one Saturday morning I woke up and decided I was going to cut it all off. I washed it, brushed it all out and drove to the salon to be worked in. I only get haircuts once a year, so I don’t really have a “hair” person, or I didn’t. I do now. Anyway, I walked into the salon and waited for 10, 15 minutes before anyone ever came to see what I needed. The stylist that came to wait on me was having a crap day or something and was just flustered. She was grumpy and ill and when I showed her the picture of the blunt cut I wanted, she questioned me. She said, ” You know your hair is wavy, right?” I was like, “Yes mam. It’s been on my head for 40 plus years.” Anyway, she put the cape on me and went to bitch to someone else about the schedule or something and left me waiting. Again. I was feeling some serious negative energy from her and really didn’t want that to be so close to me or my head, so I took the cape off and left. I was about to cut off a lot of hair and needed all of the good energy I could get.
So I left. I told her I changed my mind and that I hoped her day got better.
And I walked out.
I drove straight to Salley Beauty and the stylist there told me about Olaplex, she told me where to get it and offered a generic sort of conditioner to use in the mean time. I’ve finally used up the conditioner she sold me, it was fantabulous. You’ll be seeing more about it soon.
Anyway, I decided to try the Olaplex.
And it is like gold. It’s 28.00$ for a 3 ounce bottle. WOWZA. It’d better be good!
With the points I had, I purchased the Makeup Forever Artist Rouge Creme in the shade C211. It’s nudey shade. Very creamy and definitely a me shade.
I also used points to get the Clinique Moisture Surge. I’ve been wanting to try this too. I need all the moisture in my face. Whew. Especially around my eyes. That part of my face is c r u s t y.
I also point purchased the Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Luxury Face Oil, I am in love with it. I think I may have to get the big daddy of this one.
I have shampoo samples by Alterna and also an Algenist Genius Liquid Collagen Lip thing that I have no idea how to use.
Because the Olaplex was over 25.00$ I also opted to get the Light Foundation Sampler, which you will be seeing more of this week. It came with a mini Tarteist Lip Paint in Birthday Suit.
And that is my very mini Sephora haul.
Get it… mini?
