What’s on my eyes…

because the face stuff is all the same.

I was inspired for this look by Lauren Mae from Lauren Mae’s Beauty.

I was recently youtube searching for tag sort of videos to create a blog post about and I came across Lauren Mae’s video called, The Makeup Mess Tag.

I really liked her minimalist style of eye makeup in this video and thought I’d try to recreate it.

Weeeeell.

It didn’t go as planned.

I started with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Renaissance Palette, I used the shade Buon Fresco in my crease and on the outer part of my lid. I used a damp shader brush and packed Vermeer on the rest of the lid. Then I highlighted my inner corners and my brow bone with Tempera.

From there I blended Savage from the Urban Decay Electric Palette just below my brow bone and into the inner socket part of my eye. I blended this down to Tempura.

I didn’t like the way that looked so I added some Stila Glitter and Glow in Smokey Storm.. hmmm. That made it better.

I went back into the Renaissance palette and blended the shade Realgar just above my crease and along my lower lash line. I was kinda digging the orange and pink, so I went back into the Electric palette and added a little of Slowburn along the outer half of my lower lash line. I used the NYX pencil in Milk to line my eyes and finished the look with Lash Paradise and a little more glitter.

My lip color is Milani Nude Creme topped with Charlotte Tilbury Ibiza Nights gloss.

Even though my look didn’t quite turn out like Lauren Mae’s I think it turned out like me, and that’s even better.

What eye looks have you guys been loving lately? Are you down with minimalistic eye looks?

Xoxo
